Both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception will be in downtown Chicago. We’re hoping that transportation to/from each site will be easier, given some of the public transportation options. Also, cabs are pretty plentiful at both the ceremony and reception sites.

DePaul University, Rooftop Terrace (Ceremony Site)

The Jackson Red and Blue Line stops exit out right at State and Jackson, and provide pretty direct access to the ceremony site. There are also a good number of nearby parking lots very close to the site. We’re looking to keep the ceremony short and sweet, and don’t anticipate people needing to park for more than two hours. Street parking, while available, isn’t a guarantee.

Maxim’s, the Nancy Goldberg Center (Reception Site)

The Red Line stop at Division/Clark takes you fairly close to the reception site (about 3-4 blocks away, and very walkable). Cabs should be available, as the Ambasador East hotel is literally right next door to Maxim’s.

Additionally, we will be coordinating with a nearby parking lot (located to the West of Maxim’s). We’ll post more info as to the rate and the particulars. There will be no valet service, but it’s literally a half a block away from the site.
